Prof. Sayed Hemeda- Egypt
Professor Sayed Hemeda obtained his PhD in Civil Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, specializing in Architectural and Structural Conservation of Built Heritage. He was the first Head of the Architectural Conservation Department at the Faculty of Archaeology, Cairo University, Egypt. Previously, he served as Manager of the Heritage Science Program and Centre (LACC) at the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) and as Vice Manager of the Conservation Center of Historic Buildings and Artifacts at Cairo University.
A highly ranked scholar, Professor Hemeda has been placed in the top 0.02% of researchers worldwide by ScholarGPS and is ranked #6 in archaeology globally.
Sayed Hemeda is an Editorial Board Member of npj Heritage Science (nature).
He has received numerous awards from Cairo University, including the Scientific Excellence Prize (2017), the Encouragement Award (2014), and the Best PhD Thesis Award (2009–2010). In 2019, he was also honored with the General Union of Arab Archaeologists Prize for Academic Excellence.
His research output includes 103 articles, 45 articles in Q1 journals indexed in Scopus and Clarivate, 37 international books published by Springer, Bentham, and IntechOpen, and 430 citations. He has delivered 58 invited lectures across 16 countries.
Professor Hemeda’s primary research interests lie in geotechnical and structural engineering applications for architectural heritage preservation and engineering data analysis, particularly in pattern recognition for analytical data from culturally significant objects.
He is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal of Stardom University:

His research was mainly devoted to GPS surveying and data processing for crustal deformation control. Moreover, he is involved within analytical and digita photogrammetry applied to Cultural Heritage documentation, landslides monitoring and land deformation detection.

Associate Professor Amin Beiranvand Pour is a leading scientist and internationally established researcher in the field of geological remote sensing and mineral exploration. He was listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University for the years 2019-2024. He is Co-Founder and Team Lead in ScanMiner Solutions. He is one of the highly cited researchers in the field of geological remote sensing in the world (ranked 2 in Google Scholar). He has ranked 1 among Top Scientists for years 2023 and 2024 in Earth Science in Malaysia. He has a full academic background in applied geology, economic geology, remote sensing and mineral exploration. He was project Leader of numerous mineral exploration research projects using multispectral and hyperspectral sensors for geological mapping and mineral exploration in arid and semi-arid regions, Antarctica, Arctic and tropical areas. His experience ranges widely, from geological mapping to environmental issues such as lithological and structural mapping, mineral exploration, environmental monitoring and modelling, geo-hazard, geothermal mapping, geomorphic and coastal geology investigations. Professor Maria has diploma in Geology (1993), Master in Nanoscience and Nanotechnologies (2011) in Physics Department and PhD in Traditional materials (2000) in School of Civil Engineering from Aristotle University in Thessaloniki. She is the director of Laboratory of Building Materials in School of Civil Engineering AUTH since 2015. She is a member of research group in 94 national and European projects and scientific responsible in 22. She has organized conferences, training schools and seminars to disseminate new technologies in building materials. She serves as a reviewer for 14 high-IF scientific journals and she is an associate editor in Journal of Building Engineering (Elsevier). She is a member of RILEM TCs and RILEM European Regional Convener in Europe. Her research interest involves upgrading both traditional and cement –based materials using by-products and new technologies such as nanoparticles, bio-fibres and industrial by-products. She has published 82 articles in international journals and more than 200 in conferences. Her work has received a high number of citations and an h-index of 30(SCOPUS)

Dr. Taha A. Elwi is a senior researcher, educator, and consultant with over 20 years of academic, industrial, and advisory experience in wireless communications, applied electromagnetics, and artificial intelligence. He earned his BSc and MSc in Electrical and Laser/Optoelectronics Engineering from Al-Nahrain University, Iraq, before completing his PhD in systems engineering and science at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2011. His career spans roles with Huawei Technologies, Universiti Putra Malaysia, New York University, and as head of the Communications Engineering Department at Al-Mammon University College. Currently, he directs the International Applied and Theoretical Research Center (IATRC) in Baghdad and advises Iraq’s higher education institutions.
